Currently, the global trade landscape is in a state of flux. Since April 9, 2025, the US has slapped additional tariffs on Chinese imports, shooting the rate up to 125%, dealing a hefty blow to Chinese export businesses, and our flashlight manufacturing sector is no exception.
Back in the day, leveraging its industrial strengths, China emerged as the go-to destination for flashlight production globally, with our products flying off the shelves in the US. However, with tariffs now skyrocketing, our wares are set to lose their price edge in the American market. Thankfully, we had the foresight to set up a factory in Thailand in advance. Soon, flashlights and headlamps “Made in Thailand” will be making their debut.
To safeguard quality, the R&D, design, core components, and accessories are all taken care of in China before being shipped to Thailand for packaging. Rest assured, the quality remains on a par with that of our Chinese-made products. At present, our Thai factory has scaled up production and is churning out a diverse range of flashlights and headlamps that cater to the demands of the US market.
In the meantime, our Chinese factory continues to operate smoothly, focusing on manufacturing the key control components and serving customers in regions beyond the US, including Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and other markets.
Looking ahead, we’ll keep a close eye on the evolving trade scenario, nimbly tweak our strategies, streamline our processes, and roll out new products, all with the aim of forging a win-win partnership with our valued customers.
